Art Jump Start Thursdays | 10am – 12pm, ages 2 – 4. Starts Sept 8th
Children ages 2-5 can enjoy a two-hour program one morning a week in our safe comfortable space. Young students will work on color mixing, patterns, mark-making, and pretend play. The projects and materials are designed to support early visual language, improve hand-eye coordination and strengthen children’s orientation to the page. Parents can either stay and play in this fun social session, or drop their children off.
$23/class, $200/10 classes on a punch card Registration is ongoing.

Tuesday Afternoon Studio Workshop | 2:30 – 4:00, ages 7 and up. September 13th through December 20th
This class is for students who are 6 and up. Its a mixed-age session, sometimes including teens or a few adults as well as the little ones. There is room for everyone. We will move back and forth between material and techniques with a strong underlying practice in drawing. This is a true studio session, in that many materials and techniques will be introduced . There will be an emphaqsis on choice and invention as wll as best studio practice. I would like to be able to provide a structure at Abovo where students can follow their visual interests. It is a goal of my teaching that everyone can learn to identify and act on their own aesthetic. It is an important skill for both young and old.
$17/class, $250/session

Agogo Afternoon | Thursdays, 2:30 – 4:00, ages 4– 6. Sept 15th through Dec 22nd
This workshop is designed for the young energetic artist who wants to expand their vocabulary in art. It is a fun exhuberant session that can be messy at times. Students will be introduced to a variety of materials and techniques, working on imagery from imagination and from life, students will learn about color, mark-making, composition and design.
$17/class, $230/ series of 14 classes

Drawing Like Crazy Wednesdays and Fridays | 2:30 – 4:00, ages 6 and up. Sept 14th - Dec 23rd
This is a serious fun drawing class for kids. Students will learn surprising techniques, try new materials, explore imagery and take action in art. Come draw what you see and what you dream up. Let your imagination fly!
$ 17/class $200.00/ for the series

Digital Photography and Photoshop Mondays 2:30 - 4:00, Tuesdays 4:00 - 5:30 ages 6 and up Sept 12th - Nov 28th

We will take each day as a lesson in framing the photograph, thinking of what attributes give it particular advantages as an art form, and how to use the camera to tell a story. This class is based on a variety of photographic assignments, emphasizing basic art concepts that will be used to teach the tools and skills in Photoshop. Continuing students are encouraged to critique their own work to take their work to a new aesthetic levels, developing developing tools for self-expression.

This class is for students who are betwen 6 and 13 years old. Gain confidence and stage presence. Learn to sing with an experienced performer and effective music and voice teacher. This is an opportunity for young singers that is not to be missed

For You Who Have Always Had A Fantasy to Sing
This class is for teens and adults ages 13 and up. You will learn vocal and stage techniques of the pros.Increase your chances of getting the audition. Develop the sound and style best for you. Cultivate the essence of communication skills. (charisma) Learn how to get the audience in the palm of your hands
