My goal in all three of the Mural Projects was to set the context for the public to paint their collective story. By creating the physical structure of the wall I had cast a web to reveal the story that is shared by a large crowd of people Along Story, the first spiraling mural was painted at Artpark in Lewiston in the summer of 1985. Then in 1986, Tell TailTale was created on the lawn of the Albright Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo as part of the Imagination Celebration. Megolopolis
Megolopolis was a construction site for kids, a cardboard city at Artpark in Lewiston, during the summer of 1984. The park was very crowded that summer. We started with stacks of cardboard, paint, string, wood lath, all in large amounts. Over the course of two weeks, the space became dense and mostly inaccessible to adults. The kids had created a private playground of their own design.
