Digital Photography and Photoshop I
Mondays: Class will meet at Abovoagogo from 2:30 - 4:00
                       ending at the computer lab at Village at Ithaca
10 Sessions from September 12th - November 28th

We will take each day as a lesson in framing the photograph, thinking of what attributes give it particular advantages as an art form, and how to use the camera to tell a story.  This class is based on a variety of photographic assignments, emphasizing basic art concepts that will be used to teach the tools and skills in Photoshop.  Continuing students are encouraged to critique their own work to take their work to a new aesthetic levels, developing developing tools for self-expression. Class size limited to 6 students

Digital Photography and Photoshop ll
Tuesdays: 
Class will meet at Village at Ithaca. from 4:00 - 5:30
10 sessions from September 13th - November 29th

Students experienced with a simple camera or beginners in Photoshop will work on increasingly complicated projects, with opportunities to add poetry, drawings, animation to creations in Photoshop. Students are encouraged to slow down and examine their own photography for composition, self-expression and the development of a personal aesthtic.   Class size limited to 6 students.

Weekend Photo-Start
 
Two sessions of digital photography with Photoshop introductory skills. Each session is 2 hours with attention to individual development. By arrangement.

 All students need their own simple point-and shoot camera and USB for loading and storing images. Fees include computer lab access.

Gwen Elizabeth Bullock has been photographing for 35 years, with conventional cameras, then professional formats, and now digital. She has also worked in video and film editing. She has always enjoyed street photography and experimental work. Her formal style is classical portraiture, deriving from her love of very old family photo albums and the stories they tell. Her educational background includes art and art history, anthropology, sociology, and the natural sciences.  Link to Gwen's website
