     In this series of paintings called Woven House, I have looked at the natural world with awe and tenderness. Woven House begins as the woods and the woven visual nature of the space in the woods.

      I look out from the woods to the larger landscape and I see the interval ahead. Where do we enter? What is observed looking out from within the woven house? The pattern reflects back on the one who is mindful. This is the metaphor. The practice is one of pattern and neutrality. The only tangible subject in these images is revealed. My own quiet creature self is there, looking out and remaining hidden.
