Abovo Studio School is a well-appointed vital space for students of all ages to step out of the fray and be immersed in art process. It is a small urban studio where the teaching is characterized by good technical training and a pursuit of pure fascination.
My goal is to spark students' awareness of what they already know innately about the visual world, while giving them the skills they need to produce works of art which express their true aesthetic.
After 25 years of teaching art and practicing art therapy in many locations and venues, I have now opened a private teaching studio, where I hold classes for students from pre-school age through adults, as well as workshops, private sessions and events. The Abovoagogo Studio building is located in downtown Ithaca at 409 West Seneca Street.
In this focused venue I work with people to develop their visual acuity through experiences in art. I wish to develop a robust community of artists and students who want to join me in my art adventure.

Art Jump Start is a studio program for the youngest artists. Children ages 2-5 can enjoy a two-hour program two days a week.
Projects and materials are designed to support early visual language.
Young children can feel successful and independent in this safe, lively social session.

Monday and Thursday Workshops are designed for young energetic artists who wants to expand their vocabulary in art.
This class will be an introduction to a variety of mediums and techniques. Students will work on imagery from imagination and from life, as they learn about color, mark-making, composition and design.
